Red Bull - Copilot

You can count on Red Bull to deliver the cool sports. This site has crazy downhill sking, the rediculous Air Race, and Supermoto. Definitely worth wasting some time checking out.

Diesel - Heidies

Definitely better than Subservient chicken. Put 2 super hot chicks in underwear in a room with a guy who is also in underwear. The girls are wearing thongs so you do see some ass but it is non-porno. They even complain about being more frustrated than the viewers who they are telling them what to do/interacting with on the live message board that appears on the TV. Ok. its interesting, but make sure you check out the Cam - not just the youtube vids. although by the time you see this, it will probably be non-live anymore.

Integrity - Dev Lab

Integrity - Dev Lab

Another set of lab tests. These are shot well and are pretty funny. The tests themselves are anything but scientific with experiments like observing how a bunny reacts to the window vs. competitor’s. Bunny’s seem to really hate crappy windows.

Cadillac - My Cadillac Story

Cadillac - My Cadillac Story

I haven’t decided if I like this type of hard sell, where celebraties explain how they use the product. I guess its more real, compared with typical fantasy driven tv spots. These guys really chose to ride in a Caddy, then were approached to be apart of this.

Toyota - Landcruiser Heritage

Brilliant! WHy don’t all big brands show their old Tv spots online under the guise of a Heritage site. So cool.

Toyota - FJ Cruiser Bulletin

Toyota - FJ Cruiser Bulletin

You got to love the bold design of this SUV. Its so ugly, I just love it. Really.

Check out the videos under Section 2. Trail Team. Lots of fun footage of wacky events like Surf and Turf where thousands of Toyota 4×4 owners congregate at a beach in Cali to drive around on dunes. Tons more videos under Tails from the Trail. Lots of good off-road footage.

Blendtec - Will it blend?

Blendtec - Will it blend?

That is a fucking good blender. I don’t blend a lot, but I want to buy one just to blend shit like cell phones and matchbox cars. This is great advertising. When you completely acknowledge the fact that the product is utterly useless to you, but you still want it. I’m going to buy them as gifts too. GO STRAIGHT TO THE “Don’t Try This @ Home” section.

Suzuki - Films

Suzuki - Films

Now this is a head scratcher. Why do some shots look great, while some are bad green screen composites? Why does the acting suck so bad? Why is this so close to being cool and interesting but really turns out to be on par with a Sci Fi channel Skinnemax whammo kaka? I don’t know. I’ll probably check back to see whats in the briefcase and it does make Suziki look cooler than I’ve ever thought they were. Side note - I saw this ad in a movie theatre, so I only remembered it was Suzuki. Granted Suzukifilms.com is an easy URL to remember - Why the fuck aren’t these easily linked off off any major suzuki sites. It took me forever to find it.

Budweiser - Crown Town

Budweiser - Crown Town

Why the fuck is Bud going full tilt with this crown shit? I guess its like the Toads or frogs or whatever that was all about? I just don’t get it and I don’t think people that drink Bud give a fuck about the stupid crown morphing into shit. I think Bud should be making ads along the lines of Marlboro man. Serious macho shit. That is who drinks bud and would make any city slicker yuppy dork want to drink Bud. That said, these little animations are funny renditions of the typical night on the town scenarios, like “do you tip the guy working in the bathroom”, or “why doesn’t the bouncer let 4 guys into the club?”

Mountain Dew - MDX - Stay Sharp

Wow! Mountain Dew is really breaking the bank with these webaronies. A series of pretty funny little memory tests. Watch the videos, then answere some questions. The hand shadows are pretty impressive.

OfficeMax - You Got Elfed

These are funny and quick. An elf jumping out of a gift scaring unsuspecting business people. Stupid. But Ill watch it with a smile. Officemax did some more with diminishing returns like Stuck to a pole.

ThermaCare - Men with Cramps

Hot damn! Now we’re talking. According to this NYtimes.com article, we are looking at a $1 million set of commervies. These are funny and its a great overall campaign but I don’t know if you see all that money?

Durex - The Pants Whisper

durex

Durex - The Pants Whisper

So sad. What happened? Its a fucking condom. This should be easy, but instead it goes the painfully not funny route. Durex asks people to submit videos of themselves humping random objects. If there is actually a time when its funny to watch a man hump something with clothes on, its when its a good friend and everyone involved is very drunk. Some free advice. When making fake videos, don’t add fake laughter. It was annoying on sitcoms and its annoying online.

Lincoln - My Dream

Lincoln - My Dream

This is a really amazing piece. Something that almost everyone can connect with. Everyone wants to do something they haven’t -> dreams. Along with a ton of really nicely shot mini-documentaries of normal people fulfilling their dreams, there is a great message board allowing the ideas to grow and expand into a community. Lincoln is definitely not pussyfooting onto the web. They get it and hopefully everyone else is taking notes. This isn’t, shouldn’t and doesn’t have to be over the top.
Notice how much more effective these are without Lincoln being mentioned.

Samsung - Sam

Samsung - Sam

Are these supposed to be vague and difficult to understand? I had to watch it twice before realizing that he wanted coffee, but couldn’t because his laptop was too large - at least that is my best interpretation of this poorly edited mess. So bad.
